The Beatles had a point when they made the song "All you need is love", but after one week in Holland I’d rather say "all you need is a bike". At least it is a good start to have a bike, and maybe easier to find too. I really enjoy moving around on a bike instead of a bus, train, metro, scooter, car or whatever, and although I am not in the best of shapes these days I get by all right because it is super flat everywhere.
